Abstract
ln No More Parades "the vernacular of an extreme quietness", that Ford was seeking is achieved, in part, through the use of excessive punctuation. Punctuation has indeed a special character of redundance, its use follows a non-codified system, an infraction to a syntactical codified system of meaning, so as to achieve a greater stylistic freedom.
