Il contributo prende in esame la realtà territoriale della città balneare dell’Alto Adriatico, puntando l’attenzione in particolare sullo sviluppo più recente del fenomeno turistico, studiato nelle sue fasi e negli aspetti caratterizzanti delle medesime. Il fattore rappresentato dal turismo e il notevole processo di urbanizzazione ad esso correlato hanno determinato significative pressioni sulle risorse ambientali come l’ecosistema lagunare, le pinete, l’arenile e il patrimonio idrico. Proprio le pressioni esercitate e i conseguenti impatti costituiscono i temi centrali della ricerca.
This contribution examines the reality of the seaside city of the Northern Adriatic area, focusing in particular on the latest development of the tourism phenomenon, studied in its early stages and in its characteristic aspects. The factor represented by tourism and the significant urbanization related to it have led to significant pressures on environmental resources such as the lagoon ecosystem, pine woods, the beach and water resources. Just the pressure and the resulting impacts are the central themes of the research.
