The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the inequalities and poverty of the vast majority of the Latin American population. Although states have attempted to reduce its catastrophic impacts, their interventions have proved insufficient and unstable. The author examines the contextual conditions, the policies, the results achieved during the two years of the pandemic and the future possibilities.
