During summer 2007, macroalgal and seagrass taxa, hydrological variables, nutrients in the water column and in surface sediments were recorded in 19 stations spread in the whole Grado-Marano lagoon in order to assess the trophic level and the ecological status of this basin by applying two ecological indices: The Rapid-Macrophyte Quality Index (R-MaQI) and the Ecological Evaluation Index (EEI).
