Since the second half of the 20th century, exhibitions have become customary at art institutions and museums are involved in the loan of their works on the basis of rules, restrictions and international cultural agreements. The article aims to examine, with a comparative approach, some issues related to Italian and French regulations on the loan of museum works of art, for exhibitions and displays at home and abroad.
