The results of an investigation, which has been carried out by questionnaires, are shown in this paper. They concern the image of mathematics and the impact of the project “La matematica dei ragazzi: scambi di esperienze tra coetanei” on primary and secondary school pupils, who took part in it in 2010. The analysis of the questionnaires handed in (167 in total) can provide useful suggestions for the planning of laboratory activities of mathematics and of mathematics integrated with science.
