The article aims to analyze the issue of tuberculosis and the interventions against it
implemented after World War II in Italy. The essay focuses in particular on the contribution of the Italian Mission of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in the health field and its relations with the Italian government in order to examine, from a path dependence perspective, characteristics, innovations, and limits of the anti-tuberculosis action.
