Optimal catheter placement during sonohysterography: a randomized controlled trial comparing cervical to uterine placement.

There is not sufficient evidence to suggest routine intracervical catheter placement for sonohysterography or hysterosalpingography. Each year millions of women undergo these procedures. Any change in standard technique should be evidence based.
