Women migrating from Central America have lived a life of personal and social violence since their childhood. This condition persists through their migratory journey: crossing the borders of Honduras, Mexico and Guatemala, they face major risks. Harassed by criminal groups, they are subjected to violence and made vulnerable. Some continue their journey to reach the northern border of the United States, while others decide to readjust to new social spaces. Besides experiencing traumatic events, migrant women suffer severe psychological consequences affecting their mental health.
