Prato Carnico village is located on a fluvio-glacial fan in the Carnic Alps area (North East Italy).
Lithological and hydrogeological characteristics of the site are causing for several years of structural movements highlighted on the topographical surface by cracks on houses and along the roads. Several studies have been made to understand the origin of this instability. Last but not least is the reconstruction of the hydrogeological three dimensional model.
