In this article, in memory of Prof. Corrado Bonfanti, some of his activities of collaboration with the middle school of Mariano del Friuli are remembered on particular occasions: the participation of students of some classes in “La Matematica dei Ragazzi” (Trieste, March 2006), in the FEST - International Science Media Fair (Trieste, May 2007) and in the “Science under 18” festival (May 2011). On these occasions, Prof. Bonfanti made available to the students some machines from his precious collection, to supplement the instrumentation and materials of the small school museum, held lessons in the classroom and held conferences on the history of calculation and calculation tools, offering advice and fundamental help to students engaged in illustrating the history of computer science and the principles of computer operation to visitors to their laboratories.
