A careful observation of the activities of health workers compared with the needs that emerged from the meetings with local communities and with cultural mediators, significant problems of the operators and the needs of users emerge. In particular, the relationship between multiculturalism and hospital practices is observed, the relationship difficulties of health personnel with patients from "other" cultures, the organization of the health system, the issue of informed consent in relation to cultural systems where the individual fades into the concept of community, etc. From the experience of intercultural mediation, a contribution towards understanding differences and good practices.
