Many different experimental methods for the wave-making calculation have been carried out in the last years. We performed a research to compare the values of the wave resistance coefficient Cwp by using some of the available techniques (those due to S.D. Sharma, J. Newmann, Hogben and Tsai/Landweber).
The tests have been performed at the laboratories of the Institute of Naval Architecture of the University of Trieste using a 60 Series model (CB = 0.60). The results obtained have been compared with those reported on the reports of the 18th ITTC, for the save model.
