Nei decenni scorsi si era immaginato di pianificare lo spazio attraverso la conformazione delle infrastrutture. La realtà ha evidenziato una diversa situazione, con cogenze costituzionali riportate alla pianificazione tradizionale. L'urbanesimo si è comunque radicato nella scarsità del disposto metropolitano e comprensoriale. A fianco di informi aree metropolitane lungo la penisola, nascevano politiche europee di integrazione dei trasporti innestate su strutture insediative obsolete. In carenza di civiltà non si forma paesaggio urbano, e quello ereditato non è più sufficiente a sostanziare una morfogenesi appagante ed economicamente efficace. Ma la progettazione dei nodi delle reti, interni e attorno alle nostre città, potrebbe riportarci a geometrie variabili costruttrici di senso, in una nuova dinamica urbana europea e globale. In recent decades it was imagined to plan the land through the configuration of the infrastructure. The reality showed a different situation, with some constitutional actions that brought back to traditional planning. The urbanization was again rooted in the lack of provisions of metropolitan and district areas. Alongside the metropolitan areas that spread out with no shape along the peninsula, were born European policies for the integration of transport, grafted over obsolete settlement structures. In lack of civility is not formed urban landscape, and the inherited things are no longer sufficient to substantiate a morphogenesis rewarding and cost effective. But the design of the nodes of the networks, inside and around our cities, could bring us back, to variable geometries that could be manufacturers of sense, in a new urban dynamism, European and global.
