Identifying good action from human nature is the basis of the founding project of neo-Aristotelian naturalism. A good agent is a good human being and, in this sense, human nature provides a normative criterion for the good action. This attempt to found rational normativity is at the heart of the debate between naturalists of first nature and naturalists of second nature who assign a different normative role to human nature (according to the twofold aristotelian notion of nature i.e.: first and second nature). In this book, we will try to follow a line of thought within neo-Aristotelian naturalism that has recently been trying to reconcile the perspectives of first and second nature naturalists. In this way, we will try to argue that there is a way in which human nature (first nature) is normative that is able to take into account the first-personal perspective that characterizes action (second nature). Identificare una buona azione a partire dalla natura umana è alla base del progetto fondativo del naturalismo neo-aristotelico. Un buon agente è un buon essere umano e, in questo senso, la natura umana fornisce un criterio per l'agire buono. Questo tentativo di fondare la normatività razionale è al centro del dibattito tra naturalisti di prima natura e naturalisti di seconda natura che assegnano un ruolo normativo diverso alla natura umana (secondo i due significati di natura, prima e seconda natura, rinvenibili nel pensiero aristotelico). In questo libro, proveremo a seguire una linea di pensiero all'interno del naturalismo neo-aristotelico che ha recentemente cercato di conciliare le prospettive dei naturalisti di prima e seconda natura. In questo modo, proveremo a sostenere che vi è un modo in cui la natura umana (prima natura) può essere normativa che è in grado di tener conto della prospettiva di prima persona che caratterizza l’agire (seconda natura).
