The story of “Beyond the Mirror” is retraced and commented, an exhibition-workshop on the geometry of transformations created in 1992 by a group of members of the Educational Research Unit of the then Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Trieste and permanently exhibited until 1997 at the science centre LIS - Laboratorio dell’Immaginario Scientifico in Trieste. The exhibition also included, alongside, in-depth courses for primary and secondary school teachers. After that date, the exhibition was re-staged, in a smaller format, also in other locations and subsequently the LIS, for organizational reasons, used some parts of it, characterising them in a more popularization way.
