Il presente contributo ha come obiettivo quello di analizzare la cittadinanza nel pensiero di due dei più influenti filosofi del ‘900, cioè Michael Walzer e Jürgen Habermas. Attraverso una disa mina dei concetti di appartenenza e partecipazione declinati in maniera differente nel comunitarismo e nel liberalismo, si tenterà di mettere in luce i punti di forza e le criticità delle due teorie per poi arrivare a un probabile modello teorico futuro di cittadinanza. <br/>
The present article aims to analyze citizenship in the thought of two of the most influential philosophers of the '900, i.e. Michael Walzer and Jürgen Habermas. Through an examination of the concepts of belon ging and participation, declined differently in commu nitarianism and liberalism, one will try to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the two theories in or der to arrive at a probable future theoretical model of citizenship.
