This paper is divided into four parts: the first explains the motivations and timing of the creation of the Working Group (WG) of History of Computer Science within the Italian Association of Computer Science (AICA); the second part traces the history of the activities conducted and the works accomplished by the WG thanks to Corrado Bonfanti, who was its coordinator from the beginning and for approximately thirty-five years; the third part highlights the essence of Corrado Bonfanti’s legacy as the WG’s coordinator; the fourth and final part highlights the fruits that have been generated as a result of Corrado Bonfanti’s work.
