The chapter introduces the theme highlighting the tension between Europeanisation efforts and national sovereignty in the evolution of the migration policy, in the attempt to identify possible developments in this field. With the aim of stopping large flows of irregular migrants, principally coming from Syria, EU and Turkey signed in 2016 a statement. Il capitolo introduce il tema che evidenzia la tensione tra gli sforzi di europeizzazione e la sovranità nazionale nell'evoluzione della politica migratoria, nel tentativo di individuare eventuali sviluppi in questo campo. Al fine di arrestare i grandi flussi di migranti irregolari, principalmente provenienti dalla Siria, l'Unione europea e la Turchia hanno firmato nel 2016 una dichiarazione.
