Abstract
The Nobel 2018 goes to the evolution of chemistry with biotechnologies. The Nobel Prize 2018 in Chemistry went to scientists who developed biotechnological tools for accelerating and controlling in vitro the evolution of proteins. These methodologies, conceived by Arnold, Winter and Smith, have delivered biocatalysts of practical utility for the chemical industry but also a new generation of therapeutic agents for cancer and immunological diseases.
