I'll analyze "Vingt quatre mille baisers" of the migrant writer from Quebec Françoise de Luca, short stories which thematizes the loss of the linguistic and identity link of the feminine character who is the anonymous protagonist. I shall then attempt to identify the autobiographical leitmotif which develops along various short stories, thereby assuring the work's unity. Having highlighted the links which weave the texts together, I shall suggest considering the collection a "roman-par-nouvelles", genre which is crossed by the dialectic unity/fragmentation. I shall question, then, the reasons of the change of enunciative anchoring to every text, which contributes to destroy the unity.
