The main objective of the author is to present and discuss some of the recent contributions on the theme of the cultural landscapes proposed by members of different institutions and backgrounds in Brazil and Italy. The author presents the main issues and concerns related to the identification, analysis and protection of the current cultural landscape in Brazil.
