La ricerca sulla transizione energetica in Sardegna era partita dall’idea che lo stoccaggio di energia fosse una variabile cruciale nelle isole lontane dalla terraferma e sufficientemente articolate al loro interno. La Sardegna era sembrata un caso ideale. La verifica, attraverso interviste a testimoni privilegiati e analisi di documenti della Regione, ha permesso di capire alcuni processi non proprio allineati con le ipotesi di partenza. L’isola è ben collegata alla terraferma per quanto riguarda l’energia elettrica (elettrodotti subacquei), mentre manca di collegamenti interni ed esterni per il gas. La Regione Autonoma della Sardegna mira a potenziare i collegamenti piuttosto che puntare su una maggiore autosufficienza attraverso la triade: risparmio, stoccaggio e sviluppo delle fonti rinnovabili. Questi risultati sono stati formalizzati attraverso un approccio basato sulla metafora del gioco. The research on the energy transition in Sardinia started from the idea that energy storage was a crucial variable in the islands sufficiently articulated and far from the mainland. Sardinia had seemed an ideal case. The verification, through interviews with key informants and analysis of Region’s documents, allowed to understand some processes not really aligned with the starting hypotheses. The island is well connected to the mainland as regards electricity (underwater power lines), while it lacks internal and external connections for gas. The Autonomous Region of Sardinia aims at strengthening links rather than focusing on greater self-sufficiency through the triad: energy efficiency-savings, storage and development of renewable sources. These results were formalized through an approach based on the playing games metaphor.
