Controlled Reduction of The Near Field in Pattern Synthesis for Arbitrary Arrays

In this paper we describe an iterative technique to reduce the field in a prescribed region in the near-field zone by a prescribed quantity, while maintaining the antenna performance in the far-field region. Numerical results are illustrated.
