The contribution highlights some aspects of Antonio Bellina’s narrative: he was a priest, a teacher and a writer, and in his works, he used only the Friulian language, which he was able to promote as an instrument of extraordinary expressive power. Sharing the often painful and troubled events of his time, he could investigate and portray the Friulian society and Church with rare lyrical intensity. His narrative is characterized by some chosen themes, which are reproposed, reshaped and varied, so that they almost resemble a mythical dimension
