This study discusses some short stories by Paraguayan Princesa Aquino Augsten. She draws on episodes of violence exerted upon women, as found in journal chronicles, and transform them into literary texts. She constructs a harrowing and poetic map in which girls and young women are victims of family violence, feminicide, and abusive domestic service.
