Abstract
In the knowledge society the processes of learning and knowledge management take place, very often, online and in social online interactions, thus creating issues of complexity and sustainability related to cognitive processes of learning that students - even at university level - are not always able to recognize and cope with. This PhD work presents three research case studies, concerning activities carried out within courses at three different Italian Universities. The aim of the research was to determine whether specific activities can enhance the development of skills for lifelong learning, such as the ability to search the Internet and use online resources to promote continuous education and learning to learn. Quantitative and qualitative data were gathered within a framework of Personal Knowledge Management and the resulting guidelines are potentially useful both for teachers and learners.
Nella società contemporanea facciamo un uso intenso e pervasivo delle applicazioni di rete nella gestione personale della conoscenza. Il lavoro presenta tre casi di studio in ambito universitario, allo scopo di individuare le competenze di PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) utili per il Lifelong Learning e le strategie, i percorsi didattici, gli strumenti e gli ambienti adatti a svilupparle e supportarle. Viene inoltre studiato il ruolo delle componenti motivazionali e metacognitive nell’apprendimento mediato dalle tecnologie.
