Lo scrittore e politico Eduard Limonov ha vissuto una vita di estremi e contraddizioni e, insieme ai membri del partito Nazional-Bolscevico da lui fondato, ha influenzato la storia della Russia contemporanea. Il suo tentativo separatista di creare una “Seconda Russia” ha ispirato uno dei capitoli del fumetto Nepriznannye gosudarstva (Stati non riconosciuti, 2015. Lavrentieva 2015b) ad opera dell’artista pietroburghese Ol’ga Lavrent’eva. La raccolta, presentata in un singolare formato grafico che ne esalta l’originalità e ne arricchisce la narrazione, è composta da undici capitoli che narrano episodi legati al fenomeno del separatismo e alla creazione delle micronazioni nel mondo – vicende spesso lontane nel tempo e nello spazio ma accomunate da un unico spirito di eccentricità e determinazione. Writer and politician Eduard Limonov lived a life full of extremes and contradictions and, together with the members of the movement he founded, the National Bolshevik Party, he influenced the history of contemporary Russia. His separatist attempt to create a "Second Russia’’ inspired one of the chapters in the graphic novel Nepriznannye gosudarstva (Unrecognized States, 2015. Lavrent’eva 2015b) by Petersburg-based artist Ol’ga Lavrent’eva. The collection, whose distinctive graphic format brings out the unique traits of the work and enriches the narration, consists of eleven chapters about separatism and the creation of micronations in the world – events that occurred in very different times and places but with a shared spirit of eccentricity and determination.
