Highly Efficient, Low-Cost, and Simple Protocol for the Preparation of O-(Phenylmethyl)hydroxylamine

A simple, economically convenient, and ecocompatible two-step process for the preparation of large amounts of the valuable intermediate O-(phenylmethyl)hydroxylamine has been developed, starting from N-hydroxyphthalimide and (chloromethyl)benzene.
