La prima carta multifunzionale GlobalMap è stata realizzata per la Regione Veneto, ed è una carta
turistico-culturale, consultabile su Internet.Grazie al motore Open Source Mapserver (Web GIS), è
infatti possibile navigare e interrogare la cartografia direttamente via Web.
I tematismi rappresentati appartengono a due categorie: beni culturali e beni ambientali.
Inoltre con questo prodotto è possibile: rappresentare mappe cartograficamente molto dettagliate,
personalizzare le tipologie di beni rappresentate, navigare la cartografia, interrogare i beni selezionati
ottendendo le informazioni alfanumeriche ad essi associate. The first GlobalMap multifunctional map has been developed for the Veneto Region. It is a touristic-
cultural map, which can be consulted on line.Thanks to the Open Source Mapserver (Web GIS),
it is possible to navigate and to make queries to the map, directly through Internet.
The retrivable information belong to two categories: cultural and environmental items.
Moreover, with this product, it is possible to get rather detailed cartographic maps, customize the
typologies of the represented items, navigate the map, query the selected items, obtaining alphanumeric
related data.
