Entomofauna of the embankments in the area of Brussa (Caorle, VE). Contribution V.
The results of the fifth survey on entomofauna, carried out in 2017 along the embankments of the Brussa area, in the municipality of Caorle (Venezia district, Veneto region, north-eastern Italy) are reported. Fifty insect species were observed, 17 of them were not found in the four previous contributions. Five non-native species are of Asian or American origin. It is very interesting the detection of two non-native species, the chrysomelid beetle Ophraella communa and the sphecid wasp Chalybion bengalense. Both species have only recently been recorded in northern Italy.
