Contrary to the traditional view of Domanovic as a rural and patriarcal writer swearing to epic ethics the paper wants to stress city milieu as a modern cultural phenomenon in R. D. prose. City idea stands in thebasis of D. critacally-satirical writing as an important "working metaphore" (G. Steiner's term).
