Vengono illustrate le linee guida e i criteri utilizzati per definire le attività di orientamento per gli studenti e di formazione per i docenti delle scuole secondarie di secondo grado nell’ambito del sottoprogetto Chimica del Piano Lauree Scientifiche attuate presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche e Farmaceutiche dell’Università di Trieste, ma diffuse anche nell’intera Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia. I punti che sono stati ritenuti fondamentali erano: gli studenti imparano le Scienze eseguendo esperimenti con le loro mani, i docenti devono essere in grado di spiegare questi esperimenti avendoli eseguiti personalmente. Infine, è importante mettere in evidenza gli aspetti interdisciplinari che attraversano diverse discipline dalla chimica alla fisica, alla biologia, alla geologia, sottolineando che la descrizione degli osservabili viene fatta attraverso la matematica. Guidelines and criteria used to define the orientation activities for students and teacher training in upper secondary schools are explained. The activities were developed within the framework of the “Sub-project Chemistry” of the Piano Lauree Scientifiche, which was implemented at the Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Trieste and spread throughout the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. The points that have been considered essential were: students learn science by performing experiments hands-on, teachers must be able to explain these experiments, once they have performed them personally. Finally, it is important to highlight the interdisciplinary aspects that cross several disciplines from chemistry to physics, to biology and geology, emphasizing that the description of observables is made through mathematics.
