Nel contributo sono presentati brevemente alcuni esempi di cartografia dedicata ad un uso turistico.
Le carte per il turismo, la cui scala è generalmente abbastanza grande, sono tradizionalmente
delle carte topografiche arricchite con tematismi dedicati. Recentemente si sono diffuse delle carte
turistiche più innovative, realizzate sulla base di immagini remote. Vengono pertanto analizzate le
caratteristiche e le differenze di alcune carte turistiche costruite in tal modo, con particolare attenzione
ai possibili errori o imprecisioni che possono verificarsi, soprattutto qualora la costruzione di
tali carte sia fatta in ambiente GIS. In this paper are given some short instances of tourist maps.Tourist maps are generally drawn at a
large scale and they often are topographic maps with tourist elements.Recently a large number of
more innovative tourist maps has been produced. These ones are drawn on the base of remote
imagery. The principal features and the main differences of some remote imagery tourist maps are
analyzed. This analysis has been made with particular care for the errors due to the construction
of the map in a GIS environment.
