Purpose of this article is to outline roughly a comparison between two towns: Gorizia in Italy and Nova Gorica in Slovenia (ex Yugoslavia). The article proceeds from the supposition that the frontier regions have a dynamic nature: they are filled with mystifications and symbols, that obtain different connotations.
