The article aims to study a sample of journals published during the Fascist period that addressed the issue of Italian emigration abroad. This sample was constructed based on a dataset from the Centro Interuniversitario di documentazione sul Pensiero Economico Italiano at the University of Pisa, which allowed for the comparative examination of numerous articles that tackled the emigration problem from a variety of perspectives, overcoming the obstacles often encountered by historiography due to the difficulty of finding material distributed across many periodicals.
