The article refers about the developing of tools to support autonomy of persons with disabilities while moving around in an urban environment to allow citizens to know their city in terms of space and tools, to enable them to make aware choices in accordance with their capabilities and specific functionalities.The work starts from the expecience of an ongoing project, LabAc, developed at the Municipality of Trieste and coordinated by the University of Trieste (2012-2016)
