Abstract
This paper reports on a qualitative research about resilience processes in Holocaust child survivors, particularly hidden children. Data will refer to 21 stories of life which were collected, through 19 semistructured interviews and 2 published biographies, and analyzed assuming a Long Term approach focused on the all trajectories of life to get the developmental outcome in a life time perspective. The main aim of the research was to understand the protective factors that enabled child survivors to develop and grow and that can be used by social practitioners working with vulnerable children and families, in order to foster similar resilient responses in children out of home.
