Abstract
Institutional asymmetries of environmental governance and selective marginality in the Brazilian Amazon The autor examines how Amazonian environmental governance can reproduce selective marginality by privileging forest-centered metrics over urban and territorial vulnerabilities. Based on documentary analysis and secondary data, it proposes a theoretical-empirical framework linking institutional asymmetries, territorial abandonment and multidimensional human insecurity in Brazil’s Legal Amazon.
