Abstract
Il contributo intende approfondire il fenomeno del gigantismo navale
connesso alla containerizzazione e gli impatti che esso ha prodotto
tanto sul mercato dello shipping nel suo complesso quanto nei
territori e sulla gestione dei porti.
Inoltre, anche con l’ausilio cartografico, verranno analizzati i flussi
sulle rotte commerciali più recenti, ponendo altresì l’attenzione sui
sistemi portuali coinvolti. The paper aims to deepen the phenomenon of naval gigantism related
to containerization and the impacts that it has produced both on the
shipping market as a whole, as well as over the territories and on the
ports management.
Moreover, also with the help of maps, the flows on the most recent
commercial routes are analyzed, focusing on the port systems involved.
