Prima dell’epoca carolingia, l’anonimo trattato grammaticale <i>De dubiis nominibus</i> è il più importante
testimone della tradizione indiretta di Prudenzio. Il presente contributo definisce il numero esatto e le
caratteristiche precipue delle citazioni prudenziane nell’opera, per poi operare un confronto con la tradizione
diretta del poeta cristiano. Before the Carolingian era, the anonymous grammatical treatise <i>De dubiis nominibus</i> is the most important
witness of the indirect tradition of Prudentius. The present contribution defines the exact number and the
specific characteristics of Prudentius’ citations in the work, then makes a comparison with the direct tradition of
the Christian poet.
