From the end of the eighties the Regione Emilia Romagna is dealing with hiking maps and data stimulating the interest of excursionists and trekking lovers. Eleven sheets drawn at 1:50.000 scale covering the whole Upper Emiliano-Romagnolo Appennine and featuring a complete path network are available. Owing to the success of this production, the survey was extended to the whole Region. Just now we are working to set up a database for a website thus the information will be more effective for people and organisation involved in tourist activities.
