ALBERTO DELLA MARMORA E CARLO DE CANDIA CARTOGRAFI PRE-UNITARI DELLA SARDEGNA ALBERTO DELLA MARMORA AND CARLO DE CANDIA PREUNITARY CARTOGRAPHERS OF SARDINIA

Nella prima metà del XIX secolo l’Isola dovette far fronte al riordinamento del tributo fondiario e al censimento prediale, da determinarsi sui catasti provvisori stilati con l’utilizzo dei rilevamenti topografici. In tal senso diedero un notevole il contributo il colonnello di stato maggiore generale Alberto della Marmora e il cavalier Carlo de Candia iniziatori della cartografia geodetica della Sardegna. Il contributo prende in considerazione il lavoro svolto dai due rilevatori anche nel comune di Alghero (Sassari) e tende a sottolineare tutte le fasi preliminari ai rilevamenti. In the first half of the XIX century, the island of Sardinia had to cope with the re-forming of land -taxes and their census, which had to be determined on provisional land registers written out with the help of topographic surveys. The joint work of Colonel of General Staff, General Alberto della Marmora and Squire Carlo de Candia who had started the geodetic cartography of Sardinia, was remarkable. This contribution takes into consideration the work carried out by both the circumferentors, in the town council of Alghero (SS), as well. Moreover it aims at emphasizing all the preliminary stages to surveys.
