Improving the quality of legal interpreter training and the recruitment of interpreters through intensive orientation courses and the implementation of a register: the LEGAII project at the University of Bologna

After a brief analysis of the situation of legal interpreting in Italy, the paper describes two strands of the LEGAII project, namely the organization of intensive training orientation courses for interpreters working in the legal field and the forthcoming piloting phase for a register of legal interpreters.
