The paper inquires into the role of trial narratives for the establishment of justice conceived as correct application of the law, and wonders whether trial narratives are (more) similar to literary narratives, to historical ones, or to scientific reports. Given a number of similarities and differences, the paper claims that it is incorrect to equate trial narratives with other kinds of them: they are a specific kind of narrative, irreducible to others. Il saggio chiede quale sia il contributo delle narrazioni processuali alla giustizia intesa come corretta applicazione del diritto e se le narrazioni dei soggetti processuali siano (più) simili alle narrazioni letterarie, a quelle storiche, o a resoconti scientifici. Date le somiglianze e le differenze fra tali narrazioni e resoconti, il saggio sostiene che è scorretto equiparare le narrazioni processuali a un altro genere di narrazioni: è un genere peculiare di narrazioni, irriducibile ad altri.
