This study offers comparative insights on topics devoted to target groups, that is indigenous peoples, peasants, immigrants, women, with the aim to stress recent issues and developments in the realm of “alternative” legal understanding. It seeks to explore the emancipatory potential of law and its role as a tool to achieve equality for marginalized groups.
