Abstract
with management options that importantly alter clinical course. In this context, many efforts have been made to identify risk factors and improve the accuracy of patient selection for device therapy and prevention of SCD. Although the wellknown mathematical models and stated criteria could provide a solid basis for arrhythmic risk stratification, at present patient risk assessment is moving in the direction of a periodic multiparametric evaluation on an individual basis, which cannot prescind from CMR and genetic information.
