The article is an attempt of deciphering Andrzej Mandalian’s 2008 volume of poems titled Poemat odjazdu. The volume is treated as a coherent piece of literature. On the thematic level, the cohesion is constructed through the connection of every poem with the Warsaw Central Railway Station. In the symbolic plan, the omnipresent motif of journey is to be interpreted as a metaphorical description of human life.
