DALL’ARTE ALLA CINEMATOGRAFIA: APPROCCIO INTERDISCIPLINARE NELLA DIDATTICA DELLA CARTOGRAFIA FROM ART TO CINEMATOGRAPHY: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE DIDACTICS OF CARTOGRAPHY

Nella didattica scolastica, lo strumento cartografico non è sempre sufficientemente proposto o comunque offerto con un approccio ormai superato. Libri e testi scolastici forniscono straordinarie immagini di altrettanto esclusivi paesaggi che attualmente però sono fruibili, e facilmente accessibili anche con mezzi multimediali. La realtà dei luoghi, invece, da quella che si osserva dalla finestra della scuola a quella che si recepisce nella moderna cinematografia, relativa a ambienti lontani, talora estremi, può essere riconosciuta e correlata alla rappresentazione cartografica (cartacea e/o digitale). L’uso integrato di strumenti cartografici del passato (mappe e carte storiche), di stampe o quadri/affreschi realizzati da artisti celebri, di “racconti” dei luoghi nella letteratura antica e moderna, fino ai paesaggi della cinematografia o dei video di cantanti famosi, è un accattivante, insospettato e vincente mezzo didattico nella scuola di ogni grado. The cartographic instrument is not always sufficiently proposed, or it is offered through an obsolete approach in the scholastic courses. Books and literature supply extraordinary images of equally unique landscapes which can be also accessed through multimedia. The reality of places, instead, from the view which can be observed from the window of the school, to the one of modern cinematography, relative to sometimes extreme and far environment, can be recognized and can be correlated with the cartographic representation (on paper and/or in digital form). Captivating and winning didactic materials include the use of cartographic instruments of the past (historical maps and prints), of prints or paintings/frescoes created by artists, of historical accounts of the places in the ancient and modern literature, up to the representations of the landscapes in the cinematography or the video of famous singers.
