In this study our major goal is to present the different solutions that the Italian language
offers in the word formation with the prefix ri- in contrast with the Spanih re- .This
comparison has been analysed taking the Italian language as the core of this study,
from a cognitive perspective through a complex field of pragmatic uses, with a close
attention to the semantic meaning in each situation, and considering the most frequent
combinations among the words in order to get the main important contrasts between
these two languages.
